ADVANCED NATIONAL SYLLABUS FOR MUSIC

Instrument and singing studies, Musical Theatre studies

Juvenalia students are selected to basic musical studies through auditions. The auditions are hold annually in May. Also to open studies must be applied trough auditions. Students can only enroll at one music institute for instrument studies at the same time.

Application period for the audition is 9.-29.4.2025 and the entrance exam will be held at Sello between 6.-7.5.2025 (Soittoniekanaukio 1 B, Leppävaara). More Information about the entrance exame will be released in the end of March.

What happens in the entrance exam?

In the entrance exam, teachers work together with the applicant on musical tasks, which include listening to various tones, melodies and rhythms. There are repetition tasks for both rhythms and singing. The applicant must perform a song of their choice (duration 1-2 minutes). The applicant can also play a piece of their choice (maximum duration 2 minutes) on the instrument they are applying to study.

Junnupaketti – music lesson packages are available for children and school aged students. Packages include five 45 minute lessons.
